6 You can change your CIT password if your CIT account is linked to your TUM account ( If the entry **tumuid** exists in the StrukturDB).

11 If this entry is unavailable, you will get an error message when changing the password. For employees, the responsible chair administrator can add this to employees. For **students**, the ITO Helpdesk can add your TUM ID to your CIT account after the (online) identity check. Please write an E-Mail to support@ito.cit.tum.de.

16 Click on this **[[link>>https://ucentral.in.tum.de/cgi-bin/activate.cgi]]** to change your forgotten CIT password or to activate your CIT account. Write your CIT-ID and select **NO** below. Then click on **Proceed**.

21 You receive an E-mail with your activation code on your TUM-Mail address. Write that code into the input field and click on **Proceed**.
