How can I reset my CIT password?

You can change your CIT password if your CIT account is linked to your TUM account ( If the entry tumuid exists in the StrukturDB).

If this entry is unavailable, you will get an error message when changing the password. For employees, the responsible chair administrator can add this to their accounts. For students, the ITO Helpdesk can add your TUM ID to your CIT account after the (online) identity check. Please write an email to support@ito.cit.tum.de.

Click on this link to change your forgotten CIT password or to activate your CIT account. Then click on Submit request.

You received an email with your activation code at your TUM-Mail address. Enter that code in the input field and click on Submit code.

Then accept the Terms of Use, set your CIT password, and click on Set password.

The password was saved, and your account was activated. Below you can see your account information and the connected mail addresses.
