== 1. What happens first ==

After the account has expired (after exmatriculation or after termination of employment), IT Operations will send an e-mail to the CIT account stating that you can only send and receive your electronic mail for 1 month without any problems.

* At the end of the month, you will receive a second e-mail informing you that your e-mail account has been blocked (you will no longer have access to your account and your e-mails, only any mail filter previously set up by the user will still work).
* After a further month, the account will be deleted.

== 2. is it possible to extend the account and if so, how? ==

The employee or student account will no longer be renewed and will be converted into a guest account. To do this, the guest must contact their chair admin before the account is deleted so that they can request a status change via the StructureDB.

If the CIT account is already deactivated, the guest should contact the chair admin to request a guest account for the guest.

Exception: If the employee is no longer working for a short period of time (e.g. 6 months or 1 year) and it is certain that he will return to the Faculty of CIT after this time, he can contact his chair admin to extend his employee account.

(((
Important!  The chair admin is responsible for the guest and can change the expiration date of the account.
)))

== 3. When should I submit the guest application? ==

Ideally immediately after exmatriculation or termination of employment.

== 4. How long is the extension valid for? ==

The guest ID or guest account is only valid as long as the chair admin renews the account.
